Hello everyone! Today I will be telling you why $SystemUpdate folder in some hacked games is dangerous. I will say almost everything about it so yeah if you are that one person that have hard modded / hacked or just in any another ways (JTAG/RGH Console) This blog is for you! So let's begin I guess.
Why this folder is dangerous?
When you are downloading games from the internet what ever the site is, your game always has that one $SystemUpdate folder in it and it may be dangerous. If it's asking you to update never accept! You may can be in a high-risk of being hacked from Xbox 360, so always decline updates!
Can I bypass the Update message?
You can, with i think reinstalling the games that had the weird update or even factory resetting whole console if you don't want to get it, but if you don't play online on Stealth server you can always go offline.
How do i delete the $SystemUpdate folder?
If you are downloading portable games (non-iso) then you may have see in the folder of game $SystemUpdate folder, just delete it and that's it.
If you are downloading ISO games you always can do this.
1. If you are using to extract the games in 360mpgui there will be option Skip $SystemUpdate folder make sure to have it on.
2. If you are in command tool line way (like extractx-iso.bat) you can drag & drop the .iso file to it and after extracting just delete the folder $SystemUpdate.
What is trusted sources to get Xbox 360 games from?
Not a ad but I would recommend for you using Myrient (an Erista Service) and Internet Archive (links down below!!) With Myrient you have to go to the "Redump and then to "Microsoft - Xbox 360" folder. There are only iso games and there is almost no arcade games. For Internet Archive you can always go and search up "Xex Games Parts" and you will get Xbox 360 Games, but for Arcade games search "Xbla games". All Links below!!!
Those are the trusted and safe sources.
